NORTONS SUCCESSFULLY ACTS FOR E.TV IN SECURING INTERDICT AGAINST IMPLEMENTING ANALOGUE SWITCH-OFF DATE

Nortons Inc successfully acts for e.tv in securing an interdict against the President and the Minister of Communications from taking any steps to implement the switch off date in respect of analogue television.  The court found today amongst other reasons for granting the interdict, that the wrong entity had taken the decision to determine the date of analogue switch off (the Cabinet instead of the Minister) and that there had not been any consultation on the setting of the analogue switch off date of 31 March 2025.  Download a copy of the full judgement here...
